Biblical. Confessional. Liturgical. Missional.

Our Mission

Lutheran Mission - Australia seeks to support, encourage and strengthen confessional Lutherans around Australia. We are excited to join you in reaching out with the pure gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of many. We look forward to Christ building His church as we uphold the Holy Scriptures as the divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God.

Lutheran Mission - Australia is establishing new congregations around Australia. We welcome inquiries from individuals, confessional Lutheran groups and existing congregations interested in becoming members of LM-A.

In the near future we plan to form a synod which ensures that people are served through the proclamation of the whole counsel of God. We are also working towards founding a seminary to train pastors, deaconesses and lay workers for service in the kingdom of God.

We are committed to continuing 'to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints' (Jude 3). Lutheran Mission - Australia has been established to ensure Confessional Lutheranism has a home in Australia for generations to come.

Our Confession

Lutheran Mission – Australia accepts without reservation the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as a whole and in all their parts, as the divinely inspired, written and inerrant Word of God, and as the only infallible source and norm for all matters of faith; acknowledges and accepts as true expositions of the Word of God and as its own confession all the Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church contained in the Book of Concord of 1580; and continues to hold to the Theses of Agreement of 1965.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.
